LEHD data on job-to-job flows are from Hyatt and McEntarfer (2012b). JOLTS national monthly data were downloaded from the BLS website and converted to a quarterly frequency. BED national data were downloaded from the BLS website. CPS national monthly data were downloaded from the Federal Reserve website and converted to a quarterly frequency. 1998 refers to 1998:Q2, 2010 to 2010:Q4, except for JOLTS data, as noted below. All data are seasonally adjusted. Proportionate declines from date A to B are calculated according to 100*(B-A)/((A+B)/2).
